• Works great even if you do not have an animal. A little heavy to push for a female. If you're elderly/ disabled would not be a good choice.

• It's not only for pets, but it does have a good suction that picks up dog hairs.

• The vacuum is good as an all purpose tool around our house. It does well with pet hair and also picks up dust, dirt and debris off our carpets, hardwood floors and tile floors.

• Very very light and easy to use... you can adjust the height of the brush to make it harder or easier to push. Removes all types or dirt not only pet hair

• Hi Genie! The WindTunnel 2 Pet model can be used in homes with no pets as well. Keep in mind the tools will differ slightly from the tools on a regular vacuum. The tools on a pet model are rubberized to help attract pet hair more easily versus the bristles found on the tools of a regular vacuum. This model weighs 16.2 lbs.
