Hi, the Hoover WindTunnel 2 Rewind Pet Bagless Upright Vacuum comes with a carpet height adjustment feature. If you'd like to use this vacuum on hard floors we recommend changing the carpet height setting to "Hard Floor". You can use the "LOW" setting for all types of carpet and for very deep pile carpet you can use the higher settings. Thanks!
