• I don't know about other vacuums but this works fine on hardwood with dogs.

• This works fine on hard surfaces. The only issue is it will sometimes get stuck to the floor if it too low.

• Although I do not have ceramic tiles the vacuum worked well on carpets, with a strong pull with different settings.
