• They are powered via the console sollely. They do not operate unattached from the console without the Hori Split Pad Connector, sold separately.

• You need both, these need an actual switch console to work. No batteries.

• You need both, it basically replaces the Joy Con controllers. You still need the Switch to play games, the screen or console is not included in the box.
