“It states that amperage is 15 amps but I find it hard to believe an energy star 15.6 cu ft refrig. actually has a load of 15 amps. It makes better sense that it needs a 15 circuit. Would you please tell me the actual load amps. Thanks”

Hi - Thank you for your patience as we researched this inquiry. The running amperage is 1.2A, and it draws 2.8A when it defrosts each day. You are correct. We recommend it be protected by a 15 amp fuse or circuit breaker. We hope this helps. Vikki@GEA
