“Is it easy to remove the cover from this machine? I need to get this 27" machine down a narrow staircase that is 23.5" at one (small) point. I was told that this would be my best bet for getting a regular sized washer down my tiny stairs.”

Hi - We're glad you checked with us. Removal of the front panel is not going to reduce the size of the washer to fit in the space you mentioned. The front panel is approximately 1" deep. The actual top cover of the washer will still extend the full 27" depth. We would not recommend you attempt to disassemble the washer in order to get it to fit the narrow space you have described.
