“Can the metal vent on the back and at the bottom that protrudes from the unit be easily and quickly detached to fit a small opening and then reinstalled once into place? My compact space necessitates this for installation.”

Hi - Thank you for reaching out to us. The overall width and depth dimensions of this dryer are 27"W x 26 3/4"D. The rear panel can be removed, should it need to be replaced by service but is not intended to be removed for installation.
