A:AnswerHi I have 2 of these scooters and they work perfect. Maybe try taking the 4 screws out of the steering bar and make sure the wire isn’t stuffed in there but straight. Sorry you are having problems they are a great investment once you get everything worked out sorry couldn’t be more help.
A:AnswerHover makes terrible products, I purchased a hoverboard a couple years ago and it lasted for about 6 weeks. Then I bought this same scooter in December 2019. It didnt' get much use over the winter, but we kept it safe in the house (protect battery). It stopped working a couple times in June 2020, but after letting it sit a day or two it worked again. I bought a second unit in late July 2020 and this one did error code E8 within 2 weeks. I didn't have time to contact best buy till around the 3 week mark and there warranty is only 15 days on a $400 item. Not impressed with Hover-1 and will not have my company buy any more computers from best buy.
A:AnswerThe warranty is only 3 months. It is not 3 years as indicated in the Best Buy Specifications. I emailed Hover-1 for clarification and they told me the warranty is only 3 months. Best Buy needs to fix this in their database as it is likely preventing the Geek Squad protection plan option.
A:AnswerTap the power button two times quickly. This turns on and off the headlight and footrest lighting. No way to turn headlight and footrest lighting on/off separately.
A:AnswerFor me, I am 6 Feet tall and weigh 210 Pounds, I get 5-7 miles realistically, I suppose if I loved where all the streets were flat I could see about 10 miles, but I doubt anyone of my size could ever realistically see the full 13-15 or whatever miles advertised.
A:AnswerNo, not easily. There is no keyed power button. You have to use a bike lock. The problem is the when Best Buy gave me a new Alpha, after the first one broke, it is a little bit different. The older model Hover 1 Alpha I could run my bike lock through the front wheel. Now the Hover 1 Alpha they gave me as replacement has some type of shotty looking hubcap on the front wheel so there is literally nowhere it put a lock on the scooter. I have to use a cable lock and run it through between the rear wheel and frame, which is is VERY annoying and insecure. Also, many cables simply won't fit through the only place you could possibly use it correctly.
A:AnswerYou may be able to find them at many different places that sell 10 inch tires. Here is the manufacturers home site for parts and accessories though https://www.hover-1.com/partsandaccessories
A:AnswerIt's a quick double tap to the power button to turn the lights on/off. Try hitting the button faster or slower until you find the speed. One single tap changes between "sport" mode and basic. Sport mode gives you capability to hit a Max of 18 mph while normally you're topped out at 12 mph.
