Blazing Fast Yet Safe & Sturdy
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FAST! Every member of our family took a spin and we loved how fast it can cruise. So much fun! BIG WHEELS & GREAT QUALITY! This scooter isn't cheaply made. The wheels are big and heavy duty. VERY POWERFUL! With every family member ranging from 80lb to 200lb+ there didn't seem to be any slowing down. LARGE! This scooter is larger than the others we have seen. The box was big, but we were able to put it in the back seat of a car to get it home. (Our twin boys age 9 years old couldn't wait for me to take a photo of them as soon as we got it out of the box. Great joint shared family holiday gift idea even in Minnesota where they ride it in the garage when it is too cold out!)

Battery goes bad .
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used it around 10 times. Decent speed.Bluetooth speaker is not too bad. After about 6 month it would not charge or even turn on. I expected a longer life for $400

This may or may not work for you!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rode this Scooter a grand total of 16 miles before it failed. I charged it exactly 4 times. I rode it mostly on flat areas with a few hills (which required either me walking it up the hill or helping the motor by kicking with my foot to get to the top of the hill. Today the scooter failed on a 3/4 charge, the scooter would not ride faster than 2 MPH on a flat and level street. I tried both regular and sports mode. I am under the maximum weight for the scooter. I am thinking the motor may have failed. I have reached out to the manufacturer of the scooter to see what is their suggestion to resolve this issue. I also had a problem where the scooter shut itself off mid ride. I think Hover may have a problem with this scooter. I previously contacted them about spare parts (tires, tubes) etc as they do not even list this scooter on their website as a product that they manufacture. I am concerned that Best Buy did not investigate this product and potential issues prior to selling the product to the public. The scooter has a lot of potential, nice wide platform and solid feeling frame. I suspect that the scooter would be perfect if they replaced the 400 watt motor with a 750 watt motor and added a front brake.

It’s a good scooter for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this scooter it does job a lot of fun to ride. Not so good when it comes to small uphill riding. Keep in mind I am on the heavier side but still even someone who’s lighter than me had to kick push when going uphill. Other than that I like it so far I’ve only used it for about a week or so. Love how fast it goes and how easy it is to to handle.

Great scooter
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fun scooter. Gets me where I want to go. Top speed on high power depending on weight and elevation incline is 18 MPH. Battery life is ok, however don't plan to go more than 7-10 miles away with out your charger. Great for parks and paths. Fun for the kids and adults. Has a Bluetooth speaker built-in so you can listen to your favorite tunes as you ride. Always use a helmet and follow manual recommendations for safety.

Nice starter scooter for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re new to the e scooter and don’t want to pay close to $800 I would start with this to see if the e scooters are for you or you just want to jump on one from time to time. For me the range and speed is decent enough especially in sport mode. The ride is pretty smooth but I haven’t compared it to the more expensive scooters as of yet. So far I had it for two weeks now and haven’t had any issues with it but I did purchase the protection plan because of the previous reviews on this scooter.

Q: QuestionIs it hard to fix a flat. And where can you get parts?
Asked by Carl.
- A:Answer We have had 3 flats using this product. Twice it went flat in under two weeks, and the last time it lasted about 2 months. It is not easy fixing the flat. It can be done but with a lot of work. We got the insurance that best buy offers and it costs us $100 to exchange each time. Knowing what I know now of this product and how often it gets flats, I would NOT recommend this product to others. It is a blast to use but it gets a flat way too often to justify the price or fun it does offer.

Q: QuestionWhy do this scooter drop in speed, more like stalls while riding with the throttle fully engaged?
Asked by Tnice3.
- A:Answer We experience the same thing, riding fine then just loses power for a moment and kicks back into driving again. Like a weird stall of some sort for no reason. Why is this happening?

Q: QuestionWhat model is this really? Is this a M365 Pro? A ninebot Max? The Hover website does not show this scoot. Is this a BestBuy only product that was made directly for Best buy kind of like the hover-1 Pioneer was made for Walmart?
Asked by SuperScooter.
- A:Answer It’s built like a Ninebot max with a much smaller battery range, worse brakes, and 6lbs lighter than a max. I own the m365 and this alpha and they are very different. The alpha is more powerful, taller handlebars, much smoother ride due to larger tires, more stable, wider deck more comfortable on feet, much better headlight and display. Also has a speaker if you want to play music while you cruise The m365 is more slender, has better range is about 10lbs lighter much easier to load in a truck/back seat, better brakes. Much worse ride quality and more prone to flats. If you weight more than 200lbs or are taller than 5”10 you will appreciate the alpha

Q: QuestionIs this item (battery) FAA approved for commercial flight transport
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No. According to the FAA, any battery larger than 160 watt hours (Wh) is not allowed in carry on or checked baggage. According to the manufacturers specs, the battery in this unit is 36 volts (V) at 6 amp hours (Ah). The formula for converting volts (V) and milliamp hours (mAh) to watt hours (Wh) is: (mAh * V) / 1000 = Wh. 6Ah from the spec is equal to 6000mAh, so the formula is as follows: (6000mAh * 36V) / 1000 = 216Wh. Since 216Wh is above the allowed 160Wh allowed, this would go against FAA regulations for battery size on an aircraft.

Q: QuestionI got a flat. What is the tire size? I know it's 10 inch but by 2 or 3 inches? Also, how do u take the back tire off so I can change the inner tube? Please help!
Asked by Snance2.
- A:Answer Join the flat club! I get a flat every time I use it (3times) and yes! The back tire is a pain! Its 10x2.125 by the way. YOU MUST BY WITH valve at an angle or it won't fit properly. I got mine thru Amazon. Waiting for a Solid tire so i don't have to change the flat each time (im a girl by the way) and its getting on my nerve. Ggoo to you tube, that's how i did it go change my tire. It's hard to put it back on. You will need 4 hands. Be careful with the roter, you don't want it to bend. Hope this helps

Q: QuestionWhere can I find a tire for a hover 1 alpha electric scooter
Asked by Caramel.
- A:Answer Do yourself a favor, get the 10 inch honeycomb tires off Amazon, and take the wheels and tires to a tires shop. You will never get a flat or have to change tires again. It’s cheap to have them put on and save yourself some trouble.
