Hello, this device is meant for minimal multitasking and lightweight work. If you are looking for a device which can do multitasking and future proof for additional features it is recommended to look into the Intel Core series beginning with the i3 and stepping up to the i5, i7, or i9 series which gives you more processing power, speed, and multitasking ability. Thank you for being an HP customer!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it would be a great tool for portability. For college I believe an add on keyboard would be beneficial.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and no.... Out of the box, it is in S mode; in that mode you cannot install software from an external source, software must come from the MS Store which may be too limited for getting through college. However, you can take it out of S Mode if desired; once you do that it is permanent and cannot go back. Then you can install software from an external source. Since it is a tablet, you may want to add a keyboard and mouse. In the end you could make it work for you... It depends on you school's demands and your major. Majoring in computer science won't cut it with this tablet. My personal recommendation would be to get a higher spec'd Laptop to last you several years. This tablet is a fun, very portable, supplement product.
