The connection is USB-C. If you have older USB-A thumb drives, you will need a USB-C to USB-A adapter or multi hub.

If you have the USB A type USB flash drive (rectangular), you can get a USB C docking station or hub made for Chromebooks. We recommend looking at the HP USB-C Dock G5 or the HP USB-C Travel Hub G2.
