“Can you download apps from the play store and will they perform the same if used on a Android phone?”

Thank you for your question, Jimmy! Most Android apps will work with Chromebooks and are available in the Google Play store. These will perform great! However, a small number of apps may not be available for Chromebook, and this is due to the app developer's code. For example, some apps are designed specifically for phones but not tablets or computers.

microsoft no longer supports the android version of office on chromebooks, which means you are stuck with the web app, It only works when you have a connection and requires a office 365 subscription.
