Hi Kat! Thanks for your questions. The "hard disk" is eMMC solid state memory that is embedded (soldered) on the system board. The manufacturer is not specified. The RAM is also embedded and is mot upgradable. The memory is a 4 GB LPDDR4-2400 SDRAM so DDR4. This is relatively well spec'd for a Chromebook, which doesn't need the processing power or memory that a Windows laptop needs.
