“I need an alternate laptop for my daughter just to use word and really basic computing. Do you think this will serve the purpose? What kind of anti-virus will work best on the computer, can anyone give me any suggestions without slowing it down.”

• This laptop is fine for word processing and basic computing (reading emails, surfing the internet). The Windows 10 operating system comes with a built-in antivirus program called Windows Defender which works fine and is FREE! Windows Defender will not slow it down.

• This laptop will work for homework and basic computing. Best Buy offers WEBROOT. This will not slow down the computer. It will work in the background.
