I would recommend looking at the system requirements of the software you intend to use. This HP laptop comes with Windows 10 in S Mode. To be able to download any software, you would need to switch out of the S Mode which is free to do: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode

Are you using Toolbox or BERNINA 8.x software? If it is the full version 8.x software, the minimum requirements list a CPU (AMD) that was released in 2006. A simple test would be to start the software installation. the software will tell you if the system meets the minimum requirements. I have used Bernina embroidery software for almost 20 years, and they are very thorough in its support.
