I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be suitable for remoting in.

To be able to connect via Remote Desktop on this HP laptop, first you want to switch out of the S Mode to Windows 10 Home. It is free to switch out of S Mode. Here are the instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode

I actually use mine to use remotely from home for work. I don't have the control access but my company swears by these computers. Hence, why I got it. I work for a huge county agency, so I trusted them on it. I'm sure it would work great for what you want it to do. The screen is nice and clear and it's not to small or to big. Just right.
