• Thank you for the question. The Chrome operating system has built-in virus protection for laptops and desktops, so you really don't need a stand-alone program. However, if the free Webroot trial is for multiple devices, it may be a good idea to accept the offer to protect your phone or a Mac or Windows computer you may already have. • The cost will not cost anything unless you have added plans with your credit card info. If you remove your credit card info off the computer ( If Added ) and it is gone that would be your answer.
