The memory should be upgradable, however, even though there are two memory slots, my understanding is that the Intel N305 processor will only support a single memory channel, meaning, you would need to replace the 8GB of RAM with a larger single module, if it is not soldered to the board, you cannot just add another stick of RAM, the processor only supports a SINGLE memory channel. Personally, I don't know why you would need more RAM, 8 GB is pretty decent for an inexpensive Chromebook, and I have not had any problems with the RAM capacity. If you want more storage capacity, greater than the 128 GB built-in, you can do what I have done and use a microSD card, or you can use a flash drive, but be mindful that there is only ONE USB-A port, but there are two USB-C ports if you want to go that way. You could also connect an external hard drive or SSD via USB if you prefer.
