Hi Thad. It can be confusing. HP is rolling out units labeled "Chromebook Plus", but some existing models meeting the hardware requirements will also support the more robust software, AI capabilities, and more. The hardware requirements for Chromebook Plus are: Processor - Intel i3 or higher, or AMD Ryzen 7000 series and higher. RAM - 8GB or more, Storage: 128GB or more, and an IPS display of 1080P resolution. Going forward, there will be two classifications for any Chrome OS device: a normal Chromebook or a Chromebook Plus.
