• Hi JC, thank you for the question. Backup disks are not included. Windows has built-in recovery options that allow you to reinstall the operating system.

• The utility HP mentions is your best bet. However, if something drastic happens, like a total drive failure (unlikely), yes, you could download Windows again from the HP or Microsoft website.
