Hi Nick, thanks for your question. With S mode you can only install apps from the Microsoft app store. S mode combined with the built-in Windows security software is designed to keep the laptop secure. You can switch the laptop out of S mode and into Windows 11 Home for free. This would let you install any software you want. You can do this in the Windows account settings of the laptop.
