All I can get on youtube is 480p with 720 teasingly offered but it won't play it but that is via a wireless connection. Probably would do fine playing a dvd on its built-in dvd player. This laptop can make use of 16 gigs of ram. The 6 gigs of memory that come with this laptop are barely enough since it is shared with the R7 video processor built into the AMD A12 processor. Still, for the money, it's a good deal.
