• It is perfect. I use it for the same exact thing, and I'm able to do live video chats with my professors, as well as conduct all my assignments online with absolutely no problem. If you decide to leave home with it do bring the charger, the battery life isn't to great.

• Yes, the laptop will be sufficient enough and does have built in web-cam and microphone.
