• Go to the Device Manager and uninstall the Sound Driver. Restart the laptop. If that doesn't work, perhaps headphones.

• There should be a little speaker icon on the lower right corner of your screen. If you click on it, s box should appear allowing you to turn the volume up or down or to mute the sound altogether.
