It can be upgraded - but not easily and you run the risk of voiding your warrantee if you do it yourself since HP doesn't consider it to be user-upgradable (but at $209, who cares?) . There are two DIMM slots in the system (one with a 4GB DIMM and one empty one). Per pages 2 & 3 of the Maintenance and Service Guide, the system supports up to 16GB of RAM (UMA models) or 12GB of RAM (all other models). Refer to the Maintenance and Service Guide ( http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05227786 ) and check out this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPn6uVAZXTc) before attempting to upgrade the memory yourself.
