• I too play games a lot. One of the main reasons I went to look for a laptop, and bought this one. This laptop will run almost all games, with the exception to some high end games. You will have to ask what games he plans on playing. But overall, this computer will be able to run most games.

• No, it cannot run any of the games that are probably shown for the past few years even at medium graphics. He should honestly invest into a gaming pc. I believe this laptop should be fine for basic optimized indie games and stuff like CSGO.
