“Just bought this laptop. Works ok but makes a funny sound. I like it but that noise is kind of distracting. Any solutions to this? Also I got the open box excellent certified - could this be why?”

No, it is not because you bought it open box. I bought mine new and it makes that fan noise as well. Laptop works great though! Hope this helped...
