• You will want to look at the system requirements for any software required by the classes from the developer's site. Depending on what classes you or they are taking, you there can be different requirements. If you have the requirements, you can talk directly to the HP chat and ask for recommendations or take it to the Best Buy computer team and get a full setup. Some software might work better with a mouse than the touchpad and you might want a carrying case to go along with it versus just putting it in a backpack.
