• I have, the performance is just fine. I used the S mode switched off only because I wanted to download chrome. The store mode switched off just means you can download apps that are not in the windows store.

• I, too, switched off S-mode. When you exit S (safe) mode, you can never undo it. I don’t know if it was a factor in my computer crashing. I had also upgraded to Windows 11. While you can get apps from other providers. It may not be worth losing your built in safety.

• Yes, turned off S mode to run Elgato, no noticeable difference.
