I am a Trend Micro believer. Ran into a few issues installing since McAfee wanted to fight Trend Micro. I just declined McAfee and installed onto my new device. I would say contact Trend Micro to find out if there are additional nuances but for me, it works just fine with my Trend.

Windows S Mode is a streamlined Windows installation that requires less CPU power and memory to run. It is also more secure in that you can only install programs from the Microsoft Store onto this. Trend Micro software is available on the Microsoft Store. You can also take the computer out of S Mode into Windows 11 Home Edition in the Microsoft Store for free.

This is true of a number of programs, such as the Firefox browser. So you would have to use the utility MS provides on their Store to exit S Mode if you want to install Trend.
