Hi dachlmir, and thank you for asking the question. I'm not sure where on the Intel website you saw that the processor in this computer runs at 1.7 GHz, because I looked up the specs for the processor on Intel's website, and it says that it runs at 2.8 GHz.

The Intel® Core™ i7-1255U processor that comes with this Laptop has 10 cores (2P-cores with a Base Frequency of 1.7 GHz and Max Turbo Frequency of 4.7  GHz + 8E-cores with a Base Frequency of 1.2 GHz and Max Turbo Frequency of 3.5 GHz).
