Warning: anguage "advising" you to use an authorized technician is their way of saying that if you don't, you will be invalidating the warranty. So it's your call whether the money you save (probably $100 at least) is worth what you may be saving down the road on possible repair(s). Also, you have to take into account how handy you are in general with this sort of operation: if you have never opened up a laptop in the past, they have very tiny wires and connections in them that may be unrelated to your main intent in opening the machine, but may be in the way of your operation, and therefore have to be moved or disconnected before you can proceed (and put back or reconnected when you finish).
