Certain models (usually business-class ones, which are more expensive) are specifically made for easy replacement of the battery, RAM upgrade, and/or minor repairs. In the instance of others, user-replacement of a battery may invalidate the warranty. You should weigh the pros and cons of both if you are hoping to keep the computer for more than five years (the average lifespan of a battery). I recommend visiting YouTube and searching this. There are many videos that might be precisely what you need, or extremely close, and if you want to save some money and feel comfortable after viewing the video(s), you can attempt it yourself.
