• Good question. This laptop does not come with recovery discs. It does have a program installed where you can use blank DVDs to make your own recovery discs. I hope this helps.

• YES, it does come with a DVD Player that can install media: SuperMulti DVD/CD burner Reads and writes to a wide variety of media formats, including DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, DVD-RAM and double-layer DVD.

• Yes. Mine came with a dvd / cd burner. I use cdburnerxp freeware to burn my disks.

• Does not come with DVD/cd rom as those are obsolete. Best bet is to use external DVD/cd rom and plug into USB port.
