I am typing this on the very machine itself and can confirm it does not have a back lit keyboard

It does not have a backlit keyboard, but it is large and has a numeric pad to the right of the regular keyboard.

No keyboard backlighting. That feature now exists in models $700 and up.

It clearly does NOT state on the Specifications page, that the key board is back-lit. So, It does NOT have a back lit key board.

It does have a back-lit keyboard that looks amazing. It comes on and off depending on whether you're using the computer or not at that moment.
