Thanks for your question, Micki! Removing S Mode is easy, permanent, and can be done at no charge. It will provide you with Windows 10 Home and the ability to download software outside of the Microsoft Store (a restriction of S Mode).

I have Norton antivirus applications that I want to download but in S mode I cannot install it. I may go to the Best Buy store where I bought it, and try to talk to someone in the Geek Squad about this.
