Actually, the "2X2" designation refers to how the computer communicates with the WiFi router-which may or may not be connected to a high-speed Internet connection. Because the WiFi card in this computer is in the 2X2 configuration it will use high-speed Internet if your router is connected to a high-speed Internet connection.
