We apologize for your experience. The HP Notebook 15-dy1043dx can be upgraded up to 16 gigabytes DDR4-2666. There are 2 slots. Currently, the laptop has 1 x 4 GB RAM and 1 x 8 GB RAM. So, you could upgrade the one 4 gigabyte RAM stick to 8 gigabytes DDR4-2666.
