Yes this is a great laptop for working from home in a call center. It has a built in camera and microphone. You should be able to work all day with this laptop. Battery life will vary depending on various factors including product model, configuration, loaded applications, features, use, wireless functionality, and power management settings. The maximum capacity of the battery will naturally decrease with time and usage. I am with HP but the return policy is usually 2 weeks from date of purchase.

I was on a Zoom meeting and the other attendee made a comment that the camera was really clear and so was the microphone .
