For the same reason it doesn't have a USB C port rated above 3.0, or 50 USB ports, or 64GB RAM instead of 16, or a backlit keyboard instead of a regular one: money. Every addition, even a port, costs more money, and the more advanced the port is, the more it costs. It may seem odd to you, but even one of these small changes can be enough to dissuade people from buying a computer, and possibly going with another manufacturer. There are plenty of laptops with more ports, but you probably are trading off for a less powerful CPU, smaller screen, less RAM, cheaper integrated GPU, less solid build, etc. You have to pay for what you want, it's as simple as that.
