• YES, I have learned the same regarding Windows 11 "S". HATE IT! You MUST turn it off to install anything that isn't Microsoft.......

• Yes, this laptop does come with the Windows 11 Home in S mode operating system which will not allow McAfee software. It is very easy to remove S Mode, however once it is removed it can not be reinstalled.
