Turning it off is a PAIN. The "S" stands for Security. With S on, as it comes from the factory, one can only load ONLY Microsoft products. You MUST turn "S" off during the initial setup. Go to Youtube, there are several folks to show you how to do it.

To increase security, it allows only apps from the Microsoft Store and requires Microsoft Edge for safe browsing. It cannot be turned off, however, you can convert the operating system to Windows 11 Home with a few clicks. Note that this conversion is not reversible.
