Windows Defender is included free with Windows 10 or 11 and you do not have to purchase additional services with it. It will protect your computer against viruses and malware about as well as other antivirus programs. You just have to be careful about opening attachments to suspicious emails and careful about going to risky websites or downloading risky or suspicious materials.
