• Thank you for the question. We always recommend that upgrades be performed by professional technicians due to the likelihood of a user damaging other parts of the laptop and voiding the warranty.

• You are PERMITTED to do so, but whether you are CAPABLE of it is another question. Plus, any ancillary damage that occurs during the process would nullify your warranty if not performed by a licensed technician.
