• Not for free. However, you can purchase (rent?) a 15 month use of Microsoft Office 365, which includes Word, for $69.95 with the purchase of this laptop. If you just use Word for simple things like letters, etc., Windows 11 includes for free an app (program) called WordPad, which is perfectly fine for that purpose (and you don't have to keep paying for it year after year!).

• You can buy also Msft Office Home edition for $160 I think, if you have the computer more than 3 years that will be cheaper than renting,. I think the office 365 is best if you have 2 computers or more (family edition, but if its just you I would get the software not rent it.
