“This came with Windows 11 as far as i knew when I ordered. the box says it has Windows 11 with S mode. Can i get rid of the S mode, or do I have to take the computer back and return”

You can easily switch out of Windows 11 S mode. Google "switching out of Windows 11 S mode" and follow the instructions.

I was able to find the instructions on Microsoft’s website to get rid of the S mode.

Yes you can get S Mode off. Google it and simply follow the simple steps and you're done. No need to take it to where you purchased it.

You can disable S mode. You do so by going into the Windows security app, and then go to the app and browser control screen and disabling it. I believe it also prompts you with it during first time setup.
