Hi Rocky, thank you for the question. Long boot times on Windows operating systems are usually caused by third-party apps that you install, and since most of them start automatically with Windows 10, they tend to make your booting routine slow. You can change the start-up settings, including enabling Windows Fast Startup mode. More information is here: https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-make-your-windows-pc-boot-faster
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's true. Windows does that. So I turn it on and wait for the "mountain screen saver" to come and then click into the desktop. Then I walk away for 3 minutes and wait for the blue scrolling thing to stop twirling. Once it's still, that's when I start work. If you open things before the twirling stops, the system will act slow for a while. Keep in mind also, this Windows package comes with McAfee which always slows everything down---at first. After that, this HP runs superfast. It also helps to keep important work things on a 64-bit thumb drive, or greater---120 bit, to keep the unit from overloading.
