Hi Edgar! Thanks for your question. Laptops in the 17-by4000 series have 2 memory slots and the RAM is upgradeable. However, it does require significant disassembly and removal of the primary battery. If you are not familiar on working on laptop computers, you may wish to consult the Geek Squad.
