- Answer On the Best Buy site if you click on Specifications and look under Included, it shows that this unit does not have an Optical Drive of any type. You would have to look into an external option for this unit. You may also have to turn off Windows 11 in S Mode to use software if you were trying to watch a movie from a DVD on it versus burning data to a DVD.

- Answer Yes, this laptop has an 11th generation i-5 processor with 8 GB of memory which is powerful enough for most business purposes. You may need to take the Windows Home operating system out of S mode which is free and easy to do.

QuestionI was told by a member of the GeekSquad that turning off S-Mode of this laptop will greatly reduce the speed of the laptop and that we should instead buy a different laptop. This seems bogus to me as an SE, is this true?

- Answer I was confronted with dreaded S mode… logged into my Micro$oft account and was able to disable S mode. Now it operates like a traditional PC.
