The 256GB SSD is a 256 GB M2 SATA-3 TLC. No there is not room for an additional drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Having bought this laptop. There is room for a secondary 2.5 inch sata hdd or ssd. You will need to purchase the sata connector and caddy but the space is there. There is a slot on the motherboard labeled "HDD" that the cable plugs into. The 256gb drive that comes in the computer is a m.2.nvme. Source: Recently bought laptop and installed a 1TB SSD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have this laptop, there is both a spot for a 2.5" HDD up to 9.5mm high and a M.2 nvme connection...it was possible somehow to buy this with both drives installed. Mine is new old stock so I am not sure how it was ordered but it also has some of that "non user upgradable" RAM in both SODIMM slots. The specs outright lie on what you can and cannot upgrade. Look at the spare parts list and a dual antenna wifi controller and an external AMD Radeon 530 GPU were also possible somehow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HP team said it is Sata and the spec below says it is m.2.nvm. who is correct?
